The Arthritis Alliance of Canada (AAC), the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) and the Centre for Effective Practice (CEP) have partnered to develop an Osteoarthritis (OA) Tool for Primary Care. The clinical practice tool will assist primary care providers (PCPs) who are managing patients with new or recurrent joint pain consistent with Osteoarthritis in the hip, knee or hand. This tool will guide clinicians to identify symptoms and provide goal-oriented non-pharmacological and pharmacological management while identifying triggers for investigations or referrals.

The “OA Tool Project” Steering Committee has been formed to provide guidance, advice and recommendations on the development, planning and decisions for the project and include:

The “OA Tool Project” Clinical Working Group (CWG) is responsible for providing specific insight and feedback on the content for the Osteoarthritis Tool and comprises of:
